Retention Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Retention Marketing Manager that will play a key role in designing, executing, and managing programs and campaigns to increase customer loyalty and retention, while successfully promoting new and expanded service offerings to existing Primus customers. This position reports to the Vice President, Consumer Markets and is located in our corporate headquarters located in McLean, VA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with company management team across multiple functions to develop retention strategies and tactics to address churn. Recommend and implement appropriate programs designed to increase customer loyalty, improve retention rates, and to generate up-sell and win back opportunities.
  • Serves as campaign manager for loyalty, retention, and upgrade programs to existing customers. Campaigns to include online and offline tactics such as: e-mail, web, direct mail, offer communications, call center scripts, online communities/social networking, mobile and other marketing touch points.
  • Collaborates with other marketing managers to implement innovative marketing vehicles, feedback mechanisms and programs to enhance company loyalty initiatives.
  • Partners with Product Management, Marketing Communications, Finance, Call Centers, and external creative/design agencies to develop and execute a wide range of specific customer offers, campaigns, and touch points.
  • Serves as marketing lead in managing, measuring, tracking and reporting on retention metrics and KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of loyalty and retention programs. Creates and delivers presentations on project goals and plans.
  • Determines project priority, scope and delivery. Manages the design, development and revision of project plans and adheres to established timelines.
  • Evaluates competitive threats that influence churn across customer segments and identifies best practices from prior experience and industry leaders.
  • Defines budgetary needs and works within assigned budgets. Measures and reports on cost of retention metrics. Executes against established strategies and goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in sales, marketing, finance or related fields. Masters degree a plus.
  • 6-8 years experience with marketing programs in a telecommunications, Internet or other service industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retention marketing experience in a large service business.
  • Strong Project Management background, preferably in the telecommunications industry and marketing discipline.
  • Direct marketing program experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Understanding of direct marketing campaign testing protocols and ROI calculations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to gather the support of organization wide resources and to focus on achievement of particular development objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills. Must be able to gather and distill data in a way that provides insight into progress of projects.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills. Ability to create sharp, appealing, and concise presentations and present to executive level management. Ability to write professional detailed requirements documents.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to write customer communications with a strong call-to-action.
  • Proficiency with various analytical, database, and presentation software to include, Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. MS Project and MS Visio a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience with promotions, contests and creative development
  • Customer service orientation

Senior Manager, Financial Analysis

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a highly visible position that will actively participate in all facets of cost accounting, ranging from defining business requirements for the costing process to the support and validation of the financial reporting related to cost of sales. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for defining requirements and participating in reporting and analytics of costing results compared to prior periods, plan and standard costs, as well as oversee the financial close process, application of cost account theory and work with external auditors to ensure that the cost accounting and reporting adheres to GAAP standards. This position is located at our corporate headquarters located in McLean, VA and reports directly to the US Controller.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of team of analysts and auditors in the US and India
  • Internal management reporting, cost management and supporting analysis
  • Responsible for timely and accurate closings
  • Preparation of P&L comments and analysis compared to prior and plan
  • Responsible for cost of sales balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
  • Management of cost savings project and activities
  • Supervision of accurate audit of cost related invoices
  • Negotiation of resolution of disputes
  • Preparation of cost models and application of costing methodologies
  • Assist in development in the budgeting, planning and forecasting process
  • Responsible for internal controls, financial control documentation and testing and supporting audits.
  • Accrual and balance sheet reconciliation review on a monthly basis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Accounting
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, and GL/Accounting, in telecommunications environment
  • Willingness to travel overseas
  • Ability to meet and adhere to set deadlines
  • Possess strong analytical and research skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access

  • Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software
  • Experience with Hyperion Enterprise Solutions
